about

I will never forget that day, when I read the "Really Bad News(tm)" that yet another friend had sloughed off this mortal coil, in a dance with "the big Casino". It's house odds; unless you're with NASA or SpaceX, nobody gets off this rock alive.

I penned these lyrics in an instant that morning, and they've sat there waiting for an appropriate time and tools... and it seems like I have them now.

In Loving Memory of Dawn Lindsey

The sun came shining this mornin', like it always do,
That's when Facecrack told me the cancer had come for you...
that age old sorrow, played again, on my soul's radio,

The sun came up this mornin' like it does, every day,
and as I pour my coffee, someone's takin' life away;
your headlines punch me, and force me to the ground,
you've seen them broken arrows and your, wavin' them around...
